PSI Polypropylene Filter Sleeves are the most economical choice for filtering solutions when using standard cartridges type filters. Our Micron-Rated Felt Sleeves cut cartridge replacement costs by 30% to 50%. In addition, they cut storage, freight, and disposal costs up to 800%. For example, a 55 gallon drum will hold 240 of our 30" Felt Sleeves vs. 30 conventional 30" string wound filter cartridges.

Our Filter Sleeves, when assembled on Supporting Cores, are interchangeable with wound "depth type" filter cartridges, and will fit all standard filter units. They can be used to replace filter cartridges entirely or used from time to time for initial cleaning of heavily contaminated solutions. Many users keep a replacement set of Sleeves and Cores to reduce filter down time.

PSI Filter Sleeves are constructed of 100% polypropylene Heavy Mat Felt Fibers, specially engineered and fabricated to specific porosities. Sleeves are available in many micron ratings, including 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 microns. The 5 micron sleeves are equivalent in particle retention to precoated filters -- no precoating is necessary.

Each ten inch length of PSI Filter Sleeves has approximately 2/3 square feet of filter area. The Filter Sleeves will handle flow rates of 100 to 300 GPH, pressures to 50 psi and temperatures to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Flow rate capacities depend upon the micron size of the Filter Sleeves and the viscosity of the solution being filtered.

PSI Polypropylene Filter Sleeves are supported on heavy duty Polypropylene Core Assemblies. These consist of an outer mesh shell with 2-1/2" diameter supporting core and two end caps. They are produced specifically to exact lengths for leak-proof, positive filtration. They are available in standard lengths from 4" to 60".
